Girls' Night Out with Habitat for Humanity and Lowes: Women Build Week

Girls' Night Out with Habitat for Humanity and Lowes: Women Build Week
Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of working with my local Habitat for Humanity(Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity) organization for  Girls' Night out during Women Build week. The event was sponsored by Lowes. Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity gathered volunteers together to help build a home for a deserving individual.

A Bit About Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity

They are a nonprofit Christian housing ministry. The Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate poverty housing in Cumberland County to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
Affordable housing improves neighborhoods and communities by increasing the tax base while building better citizens through the cooperative efforts involved in construction and rehab.

They  are making houses into homes that are:

Energy Efficient
Affordable

Beautifying the Community
Generating Property Tax Revenue

Of course, I was beyond honored and excited to muscle up and help build this home! The Weather man predicted rain for that evening and I was worried that it would disrupt the event, but nature knew how important this event was and held the rain off until the very end when it started to sprinkle! Here are a couple pictures from this amazing event...
