i used a scarf as the tabletop cover, a thrifted blanket, and some red pillows also help to bring in the colors. A portable grill(in blue), white candles, tableware in white and blue, some strawberries, over a week old flowers, Stella glasses, and this red white blue no fuss set up is ready!
By now, you know I am a big fan of outdoor entertaining and this weekend is a long one here in the U.S. because it's Memorial Day weekend. Memorial Day weekend is less about the festivities but more about coming together to honor our men and women in uniform who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country. In that spirit of camaraderie and remembrance, we have invited some close friends over(Veterans and civilians) to share this time with. I probably have accessories in every color on the rainbow in my home, so I went hunting and in the following pictures(and the ones above), you'll see what I was able to create...

I used strawberries, red bell peppers, and red apples on a blue platter as my centerpiece for the table. The table cloth is left over fabric from another project that I had bought from Jo-Ann's fabric store.
I used duct tape to add some red, white, and blue to these wooden utensils.
Mason jars always come in handy.
If we're friends on Instagram, you saw that I recently scored that wicker chair and I borrowed the Panton from the dining table. Bringing the indoors out!
Jamaican jerk chicken and some grilled vegetables will be on the menu. Yum!
I usually line the edge of our garden beds with mini flags for Memorial Weekend and July 4th. Happy weekend to everyone and if you are in the USA, have a safe Memorial Weekend! xx
